At the end of last year I bought some plain Eco shopping bags from eBay with the intention of personalising them and using as gift bags. Needless to say that this didn’t happen and they gave sat in my sewing room since. It was only when digging around la bing a Mother’s Day craft gift that I remembered the bags and thought to give my ideas a try.
The bag didn’t rally take that long, just a bit of drawing and embroidery and some floral inspiration from one of my favourite blogs, one sheepish girl and the bag was complete ready to be filled with gifts for Mother’s Day!
This Friday night I also had the pleasure of my niece sleeping over. She has recently developed an interest in what she calls my ‘making room’ aka the sewing room and requested that this Friday, she would also like a new bag and it had to be decorated with a lion. I did try and convince her a bunny or flower would be easier however this 3 year old knows what she wants! So a couple of hours cutting lion shapes put and here is the finished bag.
So that’s that, two bags complete!
This week I have also found a couple of new blogs to follow, one of which has reminded me of my love for a little bunny named Peter. So much so I have search the house and finally found my book of walks in Beatrix Potter land for my next visit to the Lakes!
So if your a Potter fan, follow this lady’s blog miss beatrix but beware, you may end up hunting around for your Peter Rabbit books!
